The Temple of Aegina, East Pediment XXI

Heracles Conquers Troy.

Dying warrior.

Behind Heracles a warrior has fallen to the ground and can no longer hold his shied by the strap. The mortally wounded warrior appears to support himself on his right forearm. His head drops, his gaze is directed at the ground.
