patiently waiting to be shiny
With Jocelyn and Kristy, i am organizing the virtual quilting bee, One Shiny Bee. The participants are super crafty ladies i've admired for years here on Flickr and it's fun to get to know them better through this project.
February 2010 is Joce's month to provide us with fabrics for her quilt and she chose Denyse Schmidt's Hope Valley collection. Everyone in the bee has recieved her fabrics except, unfortunately, me. And some super amazing blocks are already popping up: Val's house, Julie's teapot and postage stamps, and Carolyn's rail fence and wonky star!
Last night i got all whiny about not having my fabrics yet, but decided to use some Kona cotton and Hope Valley charm squares from my stash to make a quick block (paper-piecing pattern here) so that i can still be part of the fun.
