Turkey: E-cards for Syrians to pay for food

“Before, we borrowed money in order to buy food. We owe 500 Turkish liras [€150 Euro] to one person,” said Hala. “It was very hard for us before we got the e-card.

 

“We used to just eat twice a day: yoghurt for breakfast and sometime bulgur or rice for dinner. Now we can buy what we need, we can even afford to buy meat once a week – we felt so happy to be able to eat meat!”
