Shaman | by Don McCullough

Standing next to this figure I could feel the energy of a once-living person. It is moving to feel connected over 2300 years.

He is an archer, kneeling and holding a crossbow. If you look closely he has green paint on his face, which the audio guide said was unique and probably meant he was also a military shaman.

The exhibit is open and allows you to look each of the 10 figures in the eye. It is a must see if you are in San Francisco.

The warriors and horses are from the funerary complex of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of China. He lived from 259 to 210 BCE. The figures were discover in 1974 in Xian, China.
