I could tell that this time the California sunset was not going to disappoint. The clouds were just right. And I knew of a hillside near the east end of the Dumbarton bridge, so I hustled up there as much as I could in South Bay traffic. And when I got to the top of the hill, it just kept getting better and better as the sun dipped below the horizon. The sky and the bay reflected each other back and forth. People stopped in their runs and dog walks to take it in. That moment is why I love photographing sunsets.
