Our first homegrown muskmelon! (aka cantaloupe)
Can't wait to eat it after lunch. We are taking lunch to my mom today and will be surprising her with our garden dessert selection of melon and figs. :) It smells crazy sweet from the end. There was actually this kind of honey stuff oozing out of it. ADDENDUM: I'm thrilled to report that it's hands down the best melon I've ever had. Imagine what a cantaloupe should taste like, and multiply that by 10 and add some divinity of flavor.
