Ektachrome 5256 MS_1
Hmmmm...well I tried this film in C-41 and it was a disaster. I don't know if my chemicals are wrecked or not - even after I double filtered out all the goop!
Anyone remember the final bedroom scene from Poltergeist? There was that ''pink and icky pulsating mucilaginous brain like tissue'' surrounding Carol-ann's closet door? That's kinda what the goop looked like (:-/)
After throwing the negatives out I did some checking [guess I shoulda done that before processing hey] I found out this is an obsolete E-4 process film and needs a pre-hardener to keep the emulsion from cooking off during development so I'll have to search around some something that might do that as there is still some colour information left.
Rodinal seemed to do an ok job too. This film was originally rated for ISO 64 and I think I shot these at ISO 40-25. Not too shabby after +/- 43yrs of probably improper storage.
