Red-legged Honeycreeper (Cyanerpes cyaneus) male

The Red-legged Honeycreeper is a small relative of the tanagers that is common in Central and northern South America from Mexico south to Brazil. It is a resident species, common to frequent, but rare to uncommon in winter.
