Portrait – Telelobotomy

This is a composite image / photo illustration made from 5 exposures. I took two shots of the whole scene with the subject in it with differing exposure values, two of the tube I made out of a piece of poster board and a black garbage bag (one with a strobe in it and one without) and a single exposure of the television. I shot the photo with my pentax k-30 with an auto chinon 55mm 1.7 lens attached.

For lighting I used a yn-560ii and a yn-460ii in 2'x3' soft box umbrellas placed in between the television and the subject. The soft boxes were pointed at the subject at a 30 degree angle. I used a bare Minotla 4000 af inside a tube to create the glow. The flashes were triggered using PT-04 trigger/receivers.
