Planks Lane~~~My friend Tom built the Little Library for me. He lives out in the country and was worried his location wouldn't get enough traffic. He also approached a large publishing house that donated five huge boxes of new books. I still have two full boxes, nine months later. I live one block away from both an elementary and a high school. Classes from both schools visit the library once every two weeks. I also live on one of the ten Town Trails in my community. Visitors to town are directed here for a pleasant walk through one of the older sections. The mature maple trees lining the roads provide plenty of summer shade. My neighbours love the little library and use it regularly. The community is very supportive too. Every week there is about 15% - 25% turnover of books. Any that languish for three weeks or more I take to the ladies at the Hospital Auxiliary second-hand store. I take paperbacks to the Hospital and they put them on the book carts for the in-patients. It's a very successful addition to my community. Thanks Tom!!
