The Pantheon #1

The Pantheon is an ancient Roman temple built to all the Roman Gods. The temple was opened in 126AD, it's dome has a diameter of 43 meters which remained the largest in the world for over 1300 years. After the fall of the Roman Empire the temple was converted to a Christian Church.


The Pantheon holds the tombs of the Renaissance painter Raphael and Vittorio Emanuele II the man who became the first King of a united Italy since the 6th century. The Pantheon remains the most preserved building of The Roman Empire.
