A glass of Limfjords-Porter from Thisted Bryghus on draft at Down Town Bar in Aalborg, Denmark.
The Thisted Limfjords-Porter is a 7.9% abv classic Baltic Porter. It poured pitch black with a massive brown head. It had a very rich aroma of caramel malt, coffee, licorice and black chocolate. Mouthfeel was full bodied with a smooth, creamy texture. Flavor started out with lots of caramel malt, held in check by a good coffee roasted bitterness. As it warmed up, black chocolate and licorice became more pronounced. It had a very long, bittersweet aftertaste with licorice and black chocolate lingering.
This is such a tasty and great beer, a beautiful example of its style.
