Struise Black Albert
A bottle of Black Albert from De Struise Brouwers in Oostvleteren, Belgium.
This potent 13% abv imperial stout pours a black color with a light brown head. The aroma is very complex and rich, with chocolate, roasted malt and molasses. The mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy, with fine carbonation. The flavor is rich and delicious; chocolate, espresso coffee, raisins (like in Dogfish Head) and even hints of liquorice. Nice long aftertaste where the roasted bitterness and the sweetness combines very well. Overall, a unique and deliciously well balanced beer - a favorite!
