Cigar City Big Sound Scotch Ale
A bottle of Big Sound Scotch Ale from Cigar City Brewing in Tampa, Florida, at the Oslo Øljunta tasting session at Lørenskog on June 13.
This 8,5% abv scotch ale poured a dark brown with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of malt and brown sugar. The mouthfeel was smooth and creamy, the flavor was like sucking on a candy bar; intense caramel and toffee notes, nicely balanced by hop bitterness that lingers in the mouth after swallowing. A very decent ale from such a young brewery.
