Барабинск

While crossing the Barabinsk Steppe, Rune and I were joined in our compartment by two Russian men in good spirits. With a little help of finger language, a map and Hans Jørgen we learned that they were on a fishing trip to Lake Chernyy - supposedly the second best fishing lake in the world after Lake Baikal.

At Барабинск - yes, you guessed it, Barabinsk - the train made a stop and the two young men disembarked, leaving us with dire warnings that the people in Novosibirsk were thieves and liars (they even offered our entire tour group to join them on the fishing trip instead of going on, but for some reason Rune declined the offer).
