tin chirping bird

Anita and I got a pair of these as a wedding gift. You squeeze the hand grip 'tail', and the wings flap with squeak-toy 'chirp' sounds (note paper bellows under wings). The grip of the other bird looks like it was made out of a can, so these might be made from scrap tin.


Not suprisingly, these were made outside the U.S, but I can't remember where. I thought they had markings saying that they were made in Peru or Tibet, but now that I look again, I don't see anything. Regardless, they have a nice old-fashioned tin litho look that I really like!


A quick search on Google turned up nothing, so I can't help you to find these toys to buy for yourself.
