Sunday Supper IV: Coq Au Vin!!
On Saturday I was at a loss for what to make for Sunday Supper. I wanted to get away from the heavy stews, and it was too damn hot to cook a major soup or all-day red gravy. I pored through out cookbook library and was still coming up blank.
Saturday night rolls around and I still have no ideas when I notice the newly TiVo'd "America's Test Kitchen" episode; 'French Classics,' had a segment on dutch ovens! The main recipe in the episode was a 'quick' (only 2 hours) Coq au Vin using a supermarket chicken instead of the traditional old rooster!

(I did opt for paying the extra 5 bucks for a pre-butchered chicken instead of a whole bird...)
