    This wrap was inspired by a pattern in the Winter 2002 Knitty. I couldn't find the yarn they suggested, so substituted some Buffalo Yarn I bought on elann.com (this is not spun from buffalo fiber - rather the opposite). The short row construction is swell, but the yarn I chose was a disaster. It was so rigid I could only get the edges to lie down by folding my arms over them. I tried to felt it, and then eventually gave it to our cat

      Oh, man, what a pity... you look gorgeous with it! I really love the color as well. Would you try it again with different yarn?

      No, I don't think I'll ever revisit this pattern. It was an interesting experiment in short rows, but I've since come to the conclusion that I really don't like working with bulky yarns or large needles.
