Ordinary Yangtze Ferry Boat

This is a typical example of the ferries plying their trade up and down the Yangtze River between at least Yichang and Chongqing - they may have gone further in either or both directions, but I didn't!

During our trip, we occupied the lounge under the bridge and accommodation along the same deck, with our dining facility at the stern.

This vessel is at anchor because all traffic was stopped on the Yangtze due to the flooding then occurring. We passed by in order to go to a nearby village to enable us tourists to offload so that we could continue our trip to Chongqing by road.
