November 1, 2010 (Day 30/365)
I donated plasma for the first time this evening. The interview and physical were time-consuming, but the actual donation process was pain-free. The biggest hassle was that the machine kept freezing when it detected air bubbles in the line. And I got the shivers when saline was pumped back into my arm -- room temperature doesn't feel so warm when injected into the bloodstream!
The thing that kept going through my mind as I lay on the sofa squeezing my fist was that this could be a scene right out of The Matrix!
