We've had nice weather this entire trip. Some storm fronts had started to move in during our drive out. Almost like they were waiting for us to leave, which I am okay with. Winds were harsh and seemed to take control of the car at most times. The wind was also kicking up dust and sand which made for some dramatic scenery.
We decided to take the back roads for some hours before getting onto the main highway system. That way we could enjoy some more hours along the beauty of Utah, and stop whenever we wanted to photograph. The drive weaves through mountains and canyons with long stretches of flat farm aread that are surrounded by mountains in the horizon, and you go through old run down towns as well.
