Pueblo Homes - Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde National Park was created in 1906 to protect some of the best preserved cliff dwelling in the world, which were built by Puebloan people (also known as the Anasazi).

The Puebloan people inhabited Mesa Verde between AD 550 - 1300. It wasn't until the 12th century that they started building cliff dwellings.

Unfortunately, the section shown in this photo was closed for the winter season, so there was no way of getting down there. We had to be on a cliff opposite from the palace in order to see it. The best I could do.
