South Side Cathedral's North Face
It's been a long time since I shot the old gal. But I was helping a friend break in a new lens and suggested we try it on St. John's.
When you've photographed this place as much as I have, it's hard to come up with a new angle or treatment. So I thought I'd photograph its north-facing side. It is the most difficult side to photograph because you can't get back very far without falling into some hedges, then over a small precipice.
Even with my 10-20mm I had to do this in pieces. What you see here is a six-photo vertical panorama. The angles were so severe that Photoshop would not autostitch this correctly, so I had to do a lot of this by hand. Still, it was worth the work, I think.
