Butterfly white admiral 10.8.2012 (2) .JPG

Now this provided one of the most exciting wile sadest moments this year.

This magnificent beauty reduced to a shattered wreck showing the effects of this dreadful season so far although it is also nearing the end of the season for this species.

It was clinging to the last chances of life and could hardly fly so staggered from one branble blossom to another and rested taking strength for the nectar it extracted.

This was the first specimen we had seen hence the excitment but we hope for better shots next year if we are still around.

How like our lives I thought. As we all grow older things begin to 'drop off' and we can no longer do what we used to do but still hang on to the last vestiges of life and enjoy them to the full..
