Fireball over the Channel, 24th November 2017
At midnight this bright fireball briefly lit up the sky as it descended over the English Channel. As seen from Wiltshire the main explosion was comparable to a full moon and bright enough to saturate the camera.
The meteoroid was in the several kilogram range but little, if any, would have survived to land in the sea.

Update 13:50: Other sightings suggest this was much lower and closer than the original estimate and the ground track was over land rather than water. Whether anything survived is still doubtful though.
