We went apple picking. The apples were sweet and nice, unlike the chemical infused store apples. The breeze was cool and fresh. The scenery was serene. The apples were on the trees, and on the ground too.

very nicely done - we went to an orchard this last weekend, but they didn't have any apples. Sigh.

My brothers and I used to eat apples and pears straight from the ground like this when we were kids. Many people in town had trees. They tasted wonderful when slightly fermented.

^ that sounds so cool. I hope you washed them though :)
And yes, apples are sweeter when they are slightly over ripe.

    Dear r-z

This is to inform you that I will use this exact image (unchanged) in order to participate in an Athens video art festival. My video visualizes an ecological fairytale I wrote in Greek that I also narrate. I think that art owes to be concerned with the key issues of our age, like environmental pollution and has to also keep us all concerned with such issues. The images I used and yours among these are a hymn to life and to our planet. In the introduction to the video I say that:

the following video includes images from www.flickr.com (artist’s names), in order to visualize my story. There is no relation between the artists’ original intentions and my use of their images. The present use is exclusively for artistic, non-commercial purposes.

Also, in the end there is detailed mentioning of the sites from which the images were taken. Please accept my many thanks to you as an artist. I consider you a co-creator of this video.

    Yours,
    Dora

p.s. My account doesn't allow me to send more than ten messages, so this is the only way to contact you.

    Hello r-z,

I'd like to use your photo as an illustration for a science-news story about fruit trees on scienceline.org
(a webzine published by NYU's science journalism graduate program)

I'm going to do a little drawing over the image and maybe crop it a little, and I will credit the photo to you.

thanks for taking such a great shot, and opening it up to creative commons.
