AA Phone Box

I took myself off today for a trip over to St Mary's Loch in the Scottish Borders, one of my favourite drives. I always take the route via Tweedsmuir and the Talla and Megget Reservoirs. It's a beautiful, but challenging in places, drive and there's always something interesting to see.

This is the AA Phone Box which is situated beside St Mary's Loch at Cappercleuch. My research tells me that there used to be nearly 1000 AA Phone Boxes but there are now only 19 of the wooden ones left, 8 of which are listed buildings! This one looked to have been painted recently so I thought it was worth a frame or two.
