Sound Garden, namesake of my favorite band

Doug Hollis' 1982 sculpture "A Sound Garden" is located at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) property next to Magnuson Park in Seattle, Washington. I've tried three times to come here and photograph this sculpture but each time I'm too late or the guard shack is closed. This time I was fortunate enough to get in and see it.

The pipes could use a little TLC, a few are even broken and don't spin. It was a still day so no wind was blowing through the tubes but I can imagine how eerie it must sound.
