Joseph Severn (1793-1879) - Ariel - On the Bat's Wing I do Fly (1826) Victoria & Albert Museum, Feb 2014

Two paintings based on Shakespeare's Tempest. "On the Bat's Wing" seems to be better-known, or at least more popular, but I happen to think "Where the Bee Sucks" is better.

It's interesting that artists often depict Ariel naked despite the fact that he could never have been portrayed that way on stage (at least before the late 20th century).
