White Pines Deer Park
Opened during the World War 2 era,the park closed for the final time in the early '90s.It had closed briefly in the 1970's before being purchased and re-opened.Located close to the beautiful state park of the same name,the park featured a small train that would take kids on a tour of the grounds.The gift shop featured some of the finest fudge around-I heard it was made at the Chalet Restauarant(also closed for around 20 years)located about 5 miles west near Lowell Park Rd.Many generations of children enjoyed the deer park,a simple pleasure for a simpler time...
