      Careful, you may offend the Quebecers, or the non-Quebecer Canadians. Or both. That is definitely not a "Canadian" dish, but more locally a Quebequois dish.

      Very true...Quebec into the Ottawa area where I've spent most of my time in Canada. I was in fact aware of that and meant it more in a general sense as I can think of very few truly Canadian delicasies in my time spent in Canada (that aren't English or French in heritage)...far worse is the fact that most of the US thinks French is the national language of Canada. Well I guess I shouldn't add to the misinformation.
