Storm Rolling Over The Central Adirondacks

I arrived at the base of Hadley at 7pm, with the idea that the 1 hour hike to the top *could* yield a spectacular sunset with all the turbulent weather we'd been having.

The sunset really wasn't spectacular as seen here, but the weather was interesting. In this shot the sunset from Hadley Mountain is to the right hand side, with massive thunderstorm rolling in and obscuring it.

Beautiful show, right up till the lighting was striking the tower on Hadley as we were hauling ass off the summit!

This image is about 140* and looking south east to east in the central eastern Adirondacks towards the southern and central Adirondacks. The full size image would be about 65 megapixels accounting for 20% overlap.

Pentax K10D, FA 43mm, f/9.0, ISO 200, Nodal Ninja III panoramic head, 8 images covering about 140*
