The Only Thing Rising At Shea Stadium!!!

The Mets embarrassed themselves and their fans. The played sloppy and without any heart, they seemed like they expected the Marlins and the rest of the National League to roll over for them.

Now, after playing one of the worst, perhaps without a doubt the worst, games I have ever seen in person with a less than sellout crowd on hand in the franchises most important regular season game, the season is over. After being in first place for over 150 days, and taking a 7 game lead into the final 17 games, with the final 7 games at home against losing teams the Mets had the greatest, most "Amazin" implosion in sports history.

I tried to make the stands look full hear by cropping int tight but the stadium was at least 10,000 empty seats for the most important regular season game in Mets history. Those who didn't come were the smart ones though. Tom Glavine gave up 7 runs in the first inning and couldn't even get out of the 1st. He even walked in a run by HITTING THE PITCHER.

Glavine is a bum but what Willie was thinking is a mystery. Even to the most uneducated fan it was clear Glavine had nothing from the start.

The Marlins played and were managed to win, and a last place team won 2 out of 3 to end the Mets season.
