Here is a shot of a quite well known and often photographed "insider tip" in Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada. Just as you're about to leave a small dry slot canyon there is this marvleous scene with the red, striped rocks accompanying a stream of rocks in the middle. I've seen very impressive photographs of this place but found it hard to create something equally vivid when we were there. The conditions were far from ideal during our short round trip in the afternoon - the hour after sunset and maybe after some rain cleaned the rock stream seems perfect ;) But later this day we opted for "The wave" as a sunset location ... you cannot have everything.
Hope you like it nevertheless.
