When I moved to Seattle, I snagged a condo in Belltown that was known for its attempt at artistic play. (The place even had its own maxim: "Live where you play." How many marketers did it take to come up with that?) Around the building are these six placards, with these quotes that are meant to illustrate how open-minded and artistic all the residents are.
What's strange about aphorisms is that I find myself actually disagreeing with most of them.
