Mind the Gap

    To borrow the phrase made famous by the London Underground.

    This seems to work well in B&W as well, thanks to the texture provided by the lichen, but I decided to stick with color. This is from the second of two mornings spent here. Both yielded some nice sunrise color, however despite the fact that I think I like this composition more, the previous morning provided the best light show due to the clouds:

    Sunrise at Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. A fabulous location. I would love to photograph this with fresh snow.
