The shortest night (with noctilucent clouds)

I've never seen clouds like this in person! (in fact the first time I saw them was just yesterday in a photography forum)

They seem to happen mostly in summer and when viewed to the north. They are located in the Mesopause, about 90-100km above earth (imagine this, there are clouds in 'space'). Also I have never seen such pattern of clouds (apart from the forum post the other day). These clouds are the highest clouds by a big margin (nex would be 60km lower or so!)

Unfortunately I only had my nex with the kit lens (often referred to as the worst possible kit lens but hey, it's sooooo small!) and a light Tripod with me and this tractor tracks in the field nearby my apartment was the most interesting thing I could find as a foreground. Well, it serves the cause.

3-frame manually exposed HDR, merged with Lightroom on my notebook.
