AP test of M31 with D800
This is a test of Astrophotography with the Nikon D800
Taken on June 2nd from 4:30am - 5am
Taken with: Explore Scientific ED102 and Nikon D800 (unmodded, uncooled)
Mount: iOptron iEQ45, guided
subs: 5xlight (200s @ISO 1250), 4xdark, 6xflat
Conditions were suboptimal: bright (around 90%) moon did just set, wind was going with gusts, also guiding was not accurate enough for the small pixel of the D800
But main reason was to test light sensitivity, noise and Astrophotography capabilities of the D800.
Processing and post was done with Images Plus, I did only stretch it, no additional post done.
Watch out for the full size image because it is 27MB!
Of course you'll get a lot more details and less noise with more subs.
