Manacus manacus - White-bearded Manakin

The White-bearded Manakin is a small passerine bird which breeds in tropical South America. It is found from Colombia, Venezuela and Trinidad south to Bolivia and northern Argentina. I spent an hour trailing this tiny bird as it flitted about the dense rainforest in the grounds of Surucuá Lodge, Argentina. Without doubt the most challenging bird to photograph on the whole trip.

Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on my photographs – it is greatly appreciated and encouraging!
