Panoramic view of the Apollo Temple in Delphi (The Oracle)
Going to visit the site of the Apollo Temple in Delphi, Greece, is a must.
Getting there turned out to be a little more challenging than expected.
During off-season the exibitions closes at 3pm, we had to go there twice, because we missed the opening hours on our first attempt, and the second time we got stuck in traffic, which meant that we only had one hour to cover both the museum and the huge archaeological site.
The site is located in a breathtaking, remote, mountain region, and the temple complex is spread out over a sloping mountainside, there's a plateau on top where you find a full-sized stadium.
