Miso Marinated Steak
Marinate 2 steaks in a mixture of (shiro) miso with some sake and mirin. But first wrap them in some cheesecloth. Or when you don't have any available, use a handkerchief. Put this package in a freezerbag, add the marinate, massage it a little and put in fridge for 5 hours.
The texture of steak changed, it felt a bit like plastic. I grilled them 4 x 30 seconds and they where quite succulent, not chewy, even though they were cheap steaks. I'm not sure about the taste though. Not bad, but I'm just not sure it was an improvement.
