Sierentz (day 1)

An enormous amount of foi gras, which is always fine with me. No complaints there. The carpaccio was alright. Even the faux filet (a special cut of steak) was lean and tender. But why kill it in so much sauce. I thought this was already very passé 2 decades ago. :-)

 

Funnily, it looked almost exactly the same as when we were there last year.

(We stay overnight in the neighbourhood, on our way to Switzerland)
