Middleton Beach - Albany

Albany X

One of the many pristine beaches in the area. This beach is safe for swimming, surfing, beach fishing or walking on the sand.

Very picturesque. I have never been to WA. Would love to see the spring wildflowers.

We are quite lucky as all our beaches are beautiful. Albany and Esperance on the South coast have this magnificent blue colour and are pretty.

Sorry about this shot, it is very dark. It was just after sunrise, so there wasn't very much light around anyway. I was using my son's camera and the settings weren't right and I didn't like to change it too much. I left my camera home so my husband could put it in to get the sensor cleaned. He has different lenses too.

Now I am back I'll be able to use my own camera.

We tend to go looking for flowers all year around. February, March and April are the lightest months for flowers.

PS The morning (24 hrs) after this was taken, a local teacher was bitten on his leg while swimming at the beach.

I didn't like the photo being so dark. Fixed it. It is nice to be back on my own computer.

    What bit him?

A 4 meter shark which has been hanging around with two others since.

The beach was closed for a few days. It was still closed yesterday but haven't heard about it today.

Quite a bit of drama for a small city.
