Of the Birds, By the Birds, and For the Birds

The birds plant the seeds, fertilize the seeds and then they eat them. lol

How could this wonderful bright series fail to enliven the heart of any viewer! This is the sunflower season and you've taken good advantage of it for sure, Martha.

Isn't it grand when natures works, without our interference? Incredible detail and exposure on all of these, but the third one really catches my eye. Perfect for a summer Sunday, Martha :-)

glorious photos Martha! you know I used to plant sunflower seeds every year in Muskoka ... but non ever grew ... then I realized the little critters would have dug them up lol ... but I did always get some smaller flowers pop up from the critters and birds planting the black oil sunflower seeds from the feed >>>>

I thought of you yesterday when we were visiting a small seaside town. Cutting back to the car park we had to walk through a beautiful little garden. It was so pretty but I am useless at capturing flowers. The plants were all old fashioned ones and the scent was gorgeous

Oh gosh, what a beautiful series and just love your title. We have them coming up everywhere in our garden and usually I pull them out, but with the drought ... any color is a good thing! These are such happy flowers!

Soon, these sunflowers will be visited by lots of finches!

Yeahhh, isn't it fun to have the help of the birds to provide new sunflowers. Lovely series of pics, sis. I have 3 that came up this spring. Luckily knowing what the new sprouts look like save them from getting weeded... plus the seeds were dropped in the raised bed. They haven't bloomed yet but they're strong and healthy... looking forward to that... gotta LOVE the sunflowers.

Awesome set! The composition and colours plus DoF really make these shots special! Great job, Martha!
