Built in 1804 John Webb's Windmill is another iconic landmark of the historic village of Thaxted in north west Essex. Unsurprisingly, the windmill is named after the farmer that owned the land it is built on, Mr. John Webb. As I mentioned in my earlier postings of shots I took of John Webb's Windmill, one of the sails fell off on Easter Monday. At the time not only did I fail to notice this, despite photographing the windmill with only three sails, I also failed to read the notice pinned to the main gate. Doh!
