Johnstone Castle 4

When Nigel Tranter visited Johnstone in the 1960s, while compiling "The Fortified House in Scotland", the building was apparently no longer being lived and was owned by the local burgh council, who were using it as some kind of store. It would appear to be back in private hands again now, this barmkin wall having been added quite recently. I admire the new owners determination - they have a big job in front of them! I understand they bought the place for one pound!
