Fatlips tower - inside west gable.

A photo that shows why it really isn't a very good idea to be in here - but if like me you can't resist, why you should stick to the shelter of doorways and window recesses!

There are quite recent photos on the internet showing the inside of the tower still quite complete and the roof almost entire. Things are deteriorating fast. This photo of the west gable of the tower, is taken from the shelter of the stair doorway leading into the 1st floor Hall, and shows the 2nd floor, where the laird's bedroom would have been, and the garret room within the parapet walkway, with the vestiges of its pine wall panelling. Both of the upper two levels have fireplaces in the west gable.
