The Black Rock

The Black Rock crashed on a sand bar many years ago. Many of the pirates perished in the attack, but those who survived use the wreckage of the ship as their home.

Gorgeous ship. I wonder if this wouldn't look better with a black background, though.

Thanks for all the comments everyone and thanks Chris for blogging it.
Chris Malloy I didn't think of that actually, so I played around with editing it just to see how it would look. It does look pretty neat, but I would have had to use lighter string for the ropes otherwise it gets lost in the background. I also photographed it against blue poster-board and I would have to re-take the pictures against a dark background to get rid of the lighter sheen around the edges that the bricks pick up from the backdrop.

You're welcome. And, well, using a dark background you'd want to change the lighting up quite a bit anyway. Done properly, that would make the ropes show up just fine. But it was just a thought.
