Morven Hills Station (14) - detail

Morven Hills Station is a private property in Central Otago, near Lindis Pass.

The farm's history stretches back to 1858, and it features a massive stone woolshed (c.1880) with a Heritage NZ Cat.1 listing.

A group of buildings near the roadside (S/H 8) dates back over a century. The homestead of the original settler John McLean dates from 1868. There are old stables; two huts (both c.1868, one originally a school, the other a smithy then a store); and a long cookhouse (c.1870), with chimneys at either end.
