La fontana (o “fontanone”) dell’Acqua Paola si trova a Roma, nel punto in cui la via Garibaldi raggiunge la sommità del Gianicolo, poco prima di Porta San Pancrazio. Si tratta della mostra terminale dell’acquedotto dell’”Acqua Paola”, ripristinato tra il 1608 e il 1610 da papa Paolo V

The Fountain of Acqua Paola in ROme, close by piazza Garibaldi, high upon the hills of Gianicolo with a magnifique panoramic view of Rome. It had been built as a demonstration of the ending of the works for the water systems for collecting water to the right side of the Roman Tiber river which was re-functioned in between 1608-1610 by the Pope Paolo V
